learning to flow - 8 steps to Happiness
Wednesdays, 7:30 - 9 pm
(Weekly meditation class in English. With livestream option for members.)
(This class offers a repeat of Monday’s content, in English)
Most of us rush from one thing to the next - day in, day out. These sessions allow us to slow down, take a breath and meditate on teachings from the Buddhist tradition that can bring our way of thinking and living into alignment with our deepest emotional needs—for our own well-being and for the benefit of all.
In this series, we explore the inspiring teachings and meditations from the book The New Eight Steps to Happiness* by Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, which is based on the famous historical text Eight Verses of Training the Mind by the Buddhist meditation master and scholar Geshe Langri Tangpa (1054–1123, Tibet).
These texts offer extraordinary solutions to all our problems—from the smallest everyday indignities to the greatest catastrophes—and practical tools for our personal development.
You can come along every step of the way or just join us for individual sessions: each session contains practical advice and meditations that you can continue to use in your everyday life as you wish.
(*If you want to read along: It’s a little tricky to get the book in English in Germany. At the time of setting up this page, we found the English version of both print and eBook it on this website in Germany. You can also get it from the publisher, Tharpa Publications, if you can make your billing details work on their UK or US site.)
